Terri Ayanna Wright

Terri Ayanna Wright is a multidisciplinary artist, with roots in filmmaking, architectural design, and live performing arts. Ms. Wright has a bachelors in Dance and Computer Science from Fordham University/The Ailey School and a masters in Design & Technology from Parsons/The New School. She has performed on many stages across the globe, most notably as an Ailey II touring company member, an ensemble member for the Metropolitan Opera, and featured dancer and actor for HopeBoykinDance. In Ms. Boykin’s latest work, States of Hope (2023), Fjord Review described Ms. Wright’s performance as “riveting.” When not in rehearsals or stage performances, Ms. Wright is a dance-on-film editor and general volumetric capture enthusiast. She received a New York Daytime Emmy nomination for her work on Beauty, Size, & Color (2022), a documentary co-directed by Hope Boykin and produced by PBS. Ms. Wright’s dance on film, InsideOut, was selected to be presented in the Utah Dance Film Festival (2022). She was also a member of the creative team that presented the Volumetric Performance Toolbox in VR at Sundance New Frontiers Film Festival (2022). Ms. Wright is forever a student of curiosity, eager to expand her knowledge base. She is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Architecture, with the aim of bringing her digital design base into physical form.
